'BB6's' Final Countdown We're down to the final four on "Big Brother 6" and as Ivette notes, "Things are probably going to get ugly now," starting with Julie Chen's ill-fitting sailor pants and WWE Championship belt. She's back tonight, since the show is live and one of the remaining "BB6" lovelies -- Ivette, Maggie or April -- is going home.Janelle, as the current Head of Household, is sitting in the fabled catbird seat and her plans for breaking up the final vestiges of The Friendship are working in spades. She has befriended April, and Ivette wastes no time in hopping on the hate train as her competitive spirit and suspicions about April's allegiance and motives bubble to the surface. Meanwhile, back at the Jury House ranch, the petty alliances continue as the sequestered jurors, Jennifer, Rachel, Beau and James are joined by the most recent "BB6" outcast, Howie. Jennifer squeals with glee at his arrival, prompting Rachel to mutter, "She better keep her grubby, skanky little hands off of Howie." Rachel. We didn't think you cared. In the "BB6" house, it's time for the final Veto Competition of the season: The Missing Link. Everyone participates in this one, in which competitors must create a chain of houseguests' faces and clues so that the face appearing in between the printed clues pertains to both the clue before and after it -- some of the clues having more than one answer. Janelle describes the game as "advanced" and not one that someone like Ivette would be able to master.Lo and behold, who wins it but Ivette. "Final sonofabitch three," she screams, running around the "BB6" backyard in her typical understated and refined manner. Not surprisingly, Ivette's end-zone dance rubs April the wrong way. She deems the display "rude" and wastes no time in telling Ivette this and blubbering about it in the diary room. "It's not even about the money," she sobs. Uh, yes, it is, April.Janelle seizes the opportunity to act like she gives a damn about April's feelings and humors her in the HOH lair in the hopes of securing a vote for herself over Ivette should April go home and the game come down to Janelle and Ivette. April says she'd go for this subtly presented idea. Mission accomplished. At the Veto Ceremony, the obvious occurs as Ivette removes herself from the block and Janelle replaces her with April. Now it's up to Ivette to boot off one of her own Girl Scouts. April, feeling that she's the obvious target, decides to make a bad situation worse and, in a backyard roundtable discussion, begins blaming Ivette for all of her misfortunes and bad behavior in the game. "Please don't take it mean," says April, causing Ivette to go three shades of Cuban on her ass as Maggie stares at them both, watching the Empire Cappy Built completely crumble. Ivette is steamed. "I hope that Veto fits up her ass," Ivette says of April in the diary room. "The damage has been done," she concludes ominously.Julie's back to go one-on-one with a coiffed Janelle in the HOH room to find out how things are progressing. Janelle is sitting back and enjoying the ride and the chaos she's caused and we can almost see the dollar signs in her eyes.At the Eviction Ceremony, Julie asks the crew for some last words. It's a last-ditch lovefest among the ladies of the house before a weeping Ivette casts April out of the "BB6" house forever.April staggers down the "BB6" house steps in her pumps and makes her way over to Julie, who tries going for the throat with her hard-hitting journalistic questions. Does April think Ivette's vote was personal or strategic? April thinks it was a "combo of both," but "I'm not gonna hold that against her." That remains to be seen.Julie announces the final Head of Household battle of the season. The winner of this one will have a spot in the final two and it's going to play out in three parts. For Part One, Ivette, Maggie and Janelle step into the "BB6" backyard where a huge mock safe has been erected, its dial facing up. Each must grasp a key with her name on it, stand on the rim of the oversized novelty safe dial and hang on for dear life as Julie fires it up and it begins spinning, ever so slowly. Next time: No show on Thursday or Saturday this week, but fear not, Julie will be back on Friday night to narrow it down to two who will go head-to-head in next Tuesday's season finale.-- Liz Scott lives in Philadelphia.
